The Business Department provides insurance, billing, purchasing, maintenance and support services for Health Services.

Health Services Fee
$214/Semester
The health fee is mandatory for all full-time undergraduate and graduate students and all international students. Part-time matriculating students who request school insurance or those who have their own insurance coverage and wish to receive their health care at URI Health Services can be assessed this fee upon request.
Your Health Fee Provides The Following:
- Routine office visits with URI providers (The student will not be billed for the office visit; however we will bill some insurance companies and accept their reimbursement.)
- Ambulance/Emergency Transport Services (by URIEMS)
- The Pharmacy Department is funded by the Student Health Fee. Students who have paid the health fee for the current semester are eligible to have prescriptions filled and receive over-the-counter medication at the Health Services Pharmacy. For a list of current medication costs to the student, visit the Health Services Pharmacy website at http://health.uri.edu/departments/pharmacy.php.
- Administrative services provided at Health Services.
- Health education and prevention programs.
- The cost of most medical procedures and some medical supplies.
- You are eligible for Health Services regardless of your insurance coverage.
